The Ultimate Localโs Guide to Southeast Missouri This Fall ๐
Fall in Southeast Missouri is one of my favorite times of year. Between pumpkin patches, local restaurants, football, festivals, and all the little spots that make our area special, there is plenty to do once the weather starts to cool down.
Whether youโre looking for a weekend activity, somewhere new to eat, or just want to explore more of what Southeast Missouri has to offer, here are a few things to add to your fall list.
๐ Start with a Fall Favorite: Beggโs Family Farm

Begg’s Family Farm
If youโre looking for a classic fall day, Beggโs Family Farm in Sikeston is a great place to start.
With 1,100 acres and more than 50 fall activities, there is plenty to keep the whole family busy. From pumpkins to seasonal activities, itโs an easy way to spend a fall afternoon outside.
Fall hours:
Friday: 9 AMโ3 PM

๐ก Visit the SEMO District Fair

SEMO District Fair
The SEMO District Fair is another Southeast Missouri tradition worth putting on your calendar.
Located at Arena Park, the fair brings together rides, games, food, tractor pulls, and plenty of classic fair fun.
The 2026 fair is scheduled for September 12โ19, with admission listed at $8.
๐ Try a Few Local Restaurants
Fall is also the perfect excuse to try somewhere new for dinner.
A couple of local spots to add to your list:
Relish Sandwich Bar + Social Club
Located in downtown Cape Girardeau, Relish offers burgers, sandwiches, and a fun social atmosphere.
๐ 130 North Main St., Cape Girardeau
Jeremiahโs Southern Coal-Fired Steakhouse
Looking for something a little more special? Jeremiahโs is known for its Southern-inspired atmosphere and coal-fired steaks.
Itโs a great option for a dinner out or a night with friends.
๐ Check Out the Riverfront Fall Festival
Head to Cape Girardeau for the Riverfront Fall Festival on October 24.
The event takes place at the Missouri Wall of Fame lot and includes vendors, live music, a beer garden, food, and other activities.

๐ Where to Watch Football
Fall and football go hand in hand, and there are plenty of places around Cape Girardeau to catch a game.
A few spots to check out include:
- Dogwood Social House
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- Mary Janeโs Smokehouse
Grab some food, find a seat, and enjoy a Saturday or Sunday game with friends.
๐ง Find a New Favorite Coffee or Treat Spot
Sometimes a fall day calls for a little pick-me-up.
Mana Tea is a local spot for boba and coffee, while Fresh Healthy Cafe offers a variety of lighter food options.
Whether you’re grabbing coffee before running errands or meeting a friend for a quick lunch, both are worth adding to your local list.
